Short answer: No — those collections can’t be upgraded into.
We get this question a lot, especially from travelers who’ve already purchased a single tour or an island/park bundle and are now looking at one of our larger collections.
Here’s how it works.
What “upgrade” means at Shaka Guide
An upgrade only applies when you move from a single tour to its corresponding island or park bundle.
Example of a supported upgrade path:
Classic Road to Hana (single tour) → Maui Bundle
Yellowstone single tour → Yellowstone & Grand Teton Bundle
In these cases, support may be able to help with the original single-tour purchase if you contact us and provide your receipt (refund rules depend on where the purchase was made).
What is not considered an upgrade
The following collections do not support upgrades, credits, or price adjustments of any kind:
Hawaii Tour Collection
Ultimate National Parks Tour Collection
These collections are:
Fixed-price
Already heavily discounted
Sold as complete, standalone products
Because of this, previous purchases are not applied, even if:
You already own some of the tours included
The purchases were made recently
The content overlaps
Important disclaimer (please read)
The Hawaii Tour Collection and the Ultimate National Parks Tour Collection cannot be upgraded into.
Buying one of these collections does not replace, credit, refund, or adjust any prior Shaka Guide purchases, including single tours or island/park bundles.
Your earlier purchases remain valid and usable, but they do not reduce the price of these collections.
About refunds
Refund eligibility depends on where the original purchase was made:
Apple (iOS in-app purchases): Refunds must be requested directly from Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com
Google (Android in-app purchases): Refunds must be requested through Google Play
ShakaGuide.com (website purchases): Contact support with your receipt
Not sure which option is right?
If you’re deciding between buying individual tours, a bundle, or a collection, we recommend reaching out before purchasing so we can help explain the differences.
