Yes, as of 2024, vehicle reservations are required for entering the North Fork during the prime seasons. These can be booked on Recreation.gov 120 days or 24 hours in advance.
Without a vehicle reservation, visitors can enter in early morning or late afternoon, before or after gate-check hours.
Keep in mind that the roads will close in winter.
