Redwood National Park covers approximately 138,000 acres. This expansive area includes not only the towering redwood forests but also diverse ecosystems such as grasslands, wetlands, and coastal areas. Redwood is unique in that it’s comprised of both the national park and several adjacent state parks, including Jedediah Smith Redwoods, Del Norte Coast Redwoods, and Prairie Creek Redwoods, collectively preserving the vast and diverse redwood forest ecosystem.
